When you feel ready, talk to family and friends. Consider attending a dementia support group – you can meet others who may be going through similar experiences.

The Alzheimer’s Society is an excellent source of information. You can also get specially selected books on dementia from your local library. Your GP or another professional can ‘prescribe’ (recommend) one for you. This is known as the Books on Prescription scheme.
