Arts and Dementia October 2021 to December 2021

Fun arts workshops for people living with dementia and their carers. All of these workshops are free.

Participation in the arts can help with improving mental well-being, reducing isolation and loneliness, improving brain cognition and physical co-ordination and also making new friends!

Singing with Claire Fowler

These workshops will include reminiscence, physical/vocal warm ups and familiar songs which encourage cognitive skills.

Storytelling with Nicky Bellenger

Nicky's workshops are person-centred storytelling sessions that start with people's imaginations and lead to a story co-created by everyone involved.

Mondays 11.00am to 12.15pm (8, 15, 22, 29 November 2021, 6, 13 December 2021)

Reminiscence with Helen Fountain

These workshops, with easily accessible themes, will focus on Food to the Table, Fun, Games & Entertainment, Schooldays, Trips to the Seaside, Dressed to the Nines and Celebrations. Object based handling resources from the 40's, 50's, 60's and 70's will be used to spark conversations.

Wednesdays 2.00pm to 3.15pm (10, 17, 24 November 2021, 1, 8, 15 December 2021)
