Carers Week 8 to 14 June 2020

Caring for a loved one is very rewarding but can also be difficult.

The current COVID pandemic has been a particularly challenging time for those who look after family and friends who are living with dementia.

If you care for a person with dementia, there are two key services available across Warwickshire that can support you.

Whether you have a query, are looking for some advice, want to find more about services, support, activities or equipment that may be helpful, or just want to find out a bit more about what the service can offer. Please give one or both of the services a call or email them today so they can support you to continue to support the person you care for.

Dementia Connect in Warwickshire – Provided by Alzheimer’s Society (Previously known as the Dementia Navigator Service)

Dementia Connect can offer practical and emotional support, a listening ear, suggestions on coping through these difficult times and advice about other services that might also be able to help. The service can support you if you are living with dementia or caring for a person with dementia.

To get support, telephone: 0333 150 3456 (Calls charged at standard local rate)

Monday to Wednesday: 9:00am to 8:00pm

Thursday and Friday: 9:00am to 5:00pm

Saturday and Sunday: 10:00am to 4:00pm

If you care for a person with dementia you can also contact the Carers Wellbeing Service – Provided by Carers Trust Heart of England.

This service can provide practical and emotional support, so you are able to support your loved one whilst maintaining your own wellbeing.
