Personal budgets
If the person you care for has been assessed as eligible for social care support, you will be offered the opportunity to have a personal budget. This is an upfront sum of money to help you manage your care and support needs. You can receive your personal budget as a direct payment – this is a cash payment, allowing you to directly purchase any services you require.
