Why come along? Here at MHA, we’ve been working in collaboration with BBC Music Day to support their call that every person living with dementia should have access to music therapy by 2020. As part of the event on 26 September 2019, we’d like to invite you to Cedar Lodge at 2.00pm to see our pioneering music therapy work in action and to find out more about how it helps older people living with dementia. You’ll have the opportunity to hear about music therapy helps our residents and see for yourself the benefits through observing (and hopefully joining in) a group music therapy session. Following the session, there will be the opportunity to chat with our music therapist Satyam Makoievato to find out more.

Speakers include a mental health nurse, a social worker, a dementia navigator, a solicitor and a care provider. Topics covered include what is dementia, taking care of yourself, finances and benefits, legal aspects and help available.

Why come along? A café for carers and people living with dementia. Each month we have a different theme, this month we will be doing activities on the theme of the Fire of Warwick. Come and meet others living with dementia or caring for a family member. ReCollections uses the collections of the museum to spark conversation and interest.

Share your ideas and experiences with our others in a similar role and meet the range of Health & Social Care professionals and local service providers. Find out who the key agencies are and what support is available to you in and around Warwick District.
