Dementia Friendly Communities

Services & support

Whilst there are many services across Warwickshire, there are two key services that we would like every Dementia Friendly organisation/community to ensure they know about, and can signpost to.

These are:

Dementia Navigator Service

The Dementia Navigator Service is for people diagnosed with dementia and/or people seeking a diagnosis, and their families, living in Warwickshire. Dementia Navigators provide information and advice, practical and emotional support, and signposting to local support services or training in dementia awareness.

Dementia Navigators can also support carers of people with dementia, for example, by helping them to develop coping strategies. People can self-refer to the service, or be referred from memory clinics, health and social care professionals.

Dementia Navigators service is provided by Alzheimer’s Society Warwickshire and funded by Warwickshire County Council.
